On 8 March, International Women’s Day, Zonta International joins the global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The Zonta community also marks 8 March as Zonta Rose Day, a time to reflect on past achievements and honor the current efforts of individuals working toward gender equity.

Area 02

ZC Duesseldorf I

To mark the occasion, Zonta Düsseldorf I organised a presentation as part of its club meeting. The speaker, Florence Hervé (women’s movement historian), spoke about her publications, including on Flora Tristan, the granddaughter of Paul Gauguin.

ZC Krefeld am Rhein

The ZC Krefeld am Rhein has honoured this day with its ‘Yellow Roses for Strong Women’ and distributed yellow roses in the city to inform about ZONTA and our club, as well as about ‘ZONTA says NO’.

Zonta Club of London and Zonta e-club of United Kingdom

Area 3 Director, Dianne Jeans with members from the London Club and the e-club joined the Million Women Rising March in London, brining attention to the issue of violence against women.
