The Zonta Club Münster, together with the Office for Gender Equality, invites you to the “Orange Days” exhibition on November 25 at 3 p.m. in the Münster City Library. The exhibition is open from November 25 to December 10, 2025, during regular opening hours and is free of charge. The focus is on artistic works that deal with the topic of violence against women in its various forms.
Some of the exhibits were created by students at the Wolbeck secondary school. In striking colors and shapes, their pictures show how they perceive the issue of violence in their everyday lives and what it means to them.
The works provide insight into their personal exploration of the question: What is violence?
Another part of the exhibition draws attention to femicide in Germany. With short, concise texts, all cases committed in Germany from January to November 2024 are named, thus commemorating the individual, tragic life stories of the women affected. This part of the exhibition is the result of an initiative by two friends of Derya S., who together with her son Kian by the child’s father in 2021.
The third part is entitled “Masculinity – you decide.” Black-and-white portraits of men are combined with clear messages about treating women with respect. These works, displayed by the Office for Gender Equality, send a clear signal against sexism, misogyny, and violence – and form the exhibition’s concluding appeal for joint action against all forms of assault.
