As you know District 29 decided to introduce a District Women in STEM scholarship for the biennium 2024 – 2026 at the District Conference in Le Havre. The scholarship is for female students in the STEM field who are still enrolled and study at university/college for at least another year.
We will assign a 1000 euro scholarship this year. Clubs can send their candidate applications to: womeninSTEM@zonta-district29.org before June 1st.

In Brisbane Zonta International decided on a new Women in STEM Award. This is not a scholarship but a price for an achievement. The new Zonta International Award is for women aged 18 – 35 years. Zonta International put the deadline on December 2025. So, if your candidate is a student who is eligible she can now apply for both the District scholarship and on top of that for the ZI Award.
With this scholarship Zonta District 29 demonstrates its commitment to educational equality and meaningful participation and leadership in science, technology and innovations; a field where important decisions are made and women are still underrepresented in the decision making.
Our STEM Awardees stress the importance of the scholarship as a stepping stone for their career.
