We proudly announce our four YWLA awardees 2025
Zonta International winners 2025
- Angel Akpovi, Romania, Zonta e-club London | Area 03 and
- Felicia Bulat, Germany, Zonta Club Oberhausen | Area 05
are two of 32 international winners – as one of the five largest districts in the Zonta world we have the right to forward two applications each year for an award of 5.000 US$.

As a district, we also awarded the 2nd prize to and the 3rd prize to:
- 2. winner: Özlem Baygeldi, Germany, Zonta Club Hamm/Unna, Area 05 | 700€
- 3. winner: Lilly Lohmann, Germany, Zonta Club Krefeld, Area 02 | 500€
Our YWLA district committee – Alina Del Carmen Agüero Bruna, Julia Nolte, Uta Kranz, Christin Zabel, Maja Völker – has been once again impressed by the outstanding engagement of all of the 15 applications coming from both of our German areas and the two English clubs. The power, the courage, and the ideas of these young women are incredible.
Thank you to the YWLA Club Chairs, for reaching out to the schools, into your community – without your work we would not have the chance to learn about these young women and the variety of their projects.
