Hygiene and menstrual insecurity

World Menstrual Hygiene Day was established in 2014. This day was chosen taking into account the woman’s menstrual cycle (28 days) and the fifth month of the year, May, which corresponds to the average number of days in the period.

Mr Jean Bolly, president of the NGO “Voix des Filles/Côte d’Ivoire”, organizes: The “World Menstrual Hygiene Day”. Her Excellency Kandia Camara, President of the Senate of Côte d’Ivoire and Chair of the Association of Senates of Africa, will be the Guest of Honour.

Renowned personalities: doctors, pediatricians, gynecologists, obstetricians etc. will present and talk about these very important topics

Inclusive menstruation and environmental protection
– Peace and menstrual health
– Sport and menstruation in girls
– Menstrual hygiene: health and psychosocial aspects
