Members of Zonta Clubs of London and the UK E-Club proudly joined tens of thousands of women and allies in London for the annual Million Women Rise march, held in recognition of International Women’s Day. Standing together in solidarity, the women raised their voices to demand an end to violence against women and girls and to champion a future built on respect, equality, and safety. It was an uplifting reminder that when women unite with purpose and courage, real change becomes possible.

“On International Women’s Day, the opening of the art exhibition, 15 Women, by Krefeld artist Mauga Houba-Hausherr at the Krefeld City Archives. ZONTA Krefeld am Rhein had the honour of accompanying the opening with roses: every visitor received her own personal rose from us on ZONTA Rose Day.”

“We took part in the women’s strike on 9 March, organised by @toechter.kollektiv! For equal rights and against violence against women! Because true equality is still a long way off: women earn structurally less than men and are much more likely to be victims of violence. Care work is unpaid and too rarely recognised. There is still a lot that needs to change here!”

“The Zonta Club of Meaux et Région is very glad of their action. They sold 400 roses – offered to the club by a partner, the bank of Crédit Agricole. So it was all a benefit for the zonta projects.” (Lydia Chaillo, Zonta Club of Meaux)

“Today, we celebrate with @de_rehbein, @gleichstellung.fernunihagen, @hagen_westfalen, @diakonie.ruhr, @volme_galerie, and many others the strength, courage, and solidarity of women—all over the world and here at home.
But we must not forget: the number of femicides is rising, and violence against women is a bitter reality of everyday life. This must never become normal. …”
