District 29 congratulates on her election!
The Zonta Club Münster (Area 05/29) is delighted to announce the election of its long-standing member Monika Geise to a significant international leadership position within Zonta International.
Born in Münster, Geise was elected by an overwhelming majority of approximately 1,200 Zonta delegates, representing around 26,000 members in 63 countries worldwide, as International Treasurer (Chief Financial Officer) of Zonta International and the Zonta Foundation for Women for the 2026–2028 biennium. With her election, Geise will assume responsibility at the highest international level within the global service organisation.
“I am truly honoured by the trust placed in me by Zonta clubs around the world and I look forward to helping shape and financially support Zonta’s international work over the next two years,” said Monika Geise.
An experienced auditor and tax adviser, Geise has been a partner in an auditing and tax consultancy firm in Münster for more than 30 years. She has been actively involved in voluntary work with the Zonta Club Münster for 20 years and has held numerous leadership positions at regional, national and international level within Zonta during that time.
For many years, the Zonta Club Münster has been committed to supporting women and girls both locally and internationally through fundraising initiatives and donations for Zonta programmes and projects. Geise’s election brings international recognition not only to the Zonta Club Münster, but also to the city of Münster within one of the world’s largest networks of professional women volunteers.
