Zonta Madrid Km 0 and Zonta Malaga in cooperation with SCIE and SNGULAR have selected the three winners of the fourth edition of the SCIE-ZONTA-SNGULAR awards among the 32 candidates that submitted their applications.
The aim of the awards is to recognise the contribution of women studying for a PHD in the field of computer science, to encourage them to start a research career and to create references for the new generations, thus reducing the gender gap.
The main prize of 1.000 € has been awarded to
- Isabel Ferri Mollá | Polytechnic University of Valencia
She won the prize for the best Master’s thesis in Artificial Intelligence awarded by the Valgrai Foundation.
In addition to her academic work, she has been actively involved in promoting the participation of women in activities such as those organised for the Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The two Runner-up prizes of €750 each have been awarded to
- Andrea Morales Garzón (University of Granada)
- Paula Muñoz Ariza (University of Málaga).
Both have demonstrate a very promising research activity.
They are highly committed to activities that promote the participation of women in the field of technology.
