The three Pankhurst Sisters
Emmeline, Christabel, Sylvia — three sisters rising in England’s mist,
three flames that lit the world anew.
They held no crown, no throne, only faith, and words, and marching feet.
The very stones of time trembled beneath them.
They wore yellow — the color of sunlight, of dignity.
A simple yellow rose became their banner, their silent cry, their vow woven into light.
Through London’s streets their voices rang like bells of freedom.
They spoke for the mothers, for the workers, for the unseen. They spoke for all.
They were taken, they were chained. Yet behind the iron bars, their song endured: Votes for Women! Votes for Women!
And in the shadows of the prisons, a rose began to bloom — stronger than fear, brighter than night.
Today, every yellow rose still carries their memory.
It whispers that nothing is ever lost while one woman stands, while one voice remains, while one rose opens at the dawn of justice.
